Admission Requirements
- A complete and official set of high school transcripts must be submitted by the school counselor or another school official
- Completion of either the ACT or SAT is mandatory for all applicants
- Non-native English speakers and those not currently studying in an English-medium curriculum are recommended to take an English proficiency test (e.g. DUOLINGO, IELTS, PTE, TOEFL)
- Submission of a one-page personal essay and short essay questions specific to Duke
- Three letters of recommendation are required for each applicant: one from the school counselor and two from teachers in major academic courses
- A nonrefundable application fee of $85
- Proof of ability to meet educational expenses and the I-20 form are necessary for obtaining an F-1 visa for study in the United States
