Admission Requirements
- Official transcripts for all academic work completed in high school must be submitted by school counselor or another school official
- All applicants must complete either the ACT or SAT
- We recommend (but do not require) non-native English speakers or those not currently studying in English-medium curriculums take an English proficiency test (DUOLINGO, IELTS, PTE, TOEFL)
- A one-page personal essay and short essay questions specific to Duke are required
- We require three letters of recommendation: one from school counselor and two from teachers in major academic courses (English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Sciences, Foreign Languages)
- A nonrefundable $85 application fee is required
- Proof of ability to meet educational expenses, along with I-20 form, must be furnished to obtain F-1 visa for study in the United States by foreign citizens at their home country's U.S. consulate.
