Admission Requirements
- Obtain official transcripts for all high school academic work, to be submitted by school counselor or another school official
- Complete either the ACT or SAT exam
- Consider taking an English proficiency test (DUOLINGO, IELTS, PTE, TOEFL) if not a native English speaker or not currently studying in an English-medium curriculum
- Submit a one-page personal essay and short essay questions specific to Duke
- Provide three letters of recommendation: one from school counselor and two from teachers in major academic courses (English, mathematics, social studies, sciences, foreign languages)
- Pay a nonrefundable $85 application fee
- Furnish home country’s U.S. consulate with proof of ability to meet educational expenses and obtain the I-20 form to obtain an F-1 visa for study in the United States.
